Aishwarya Jaiswal is a Doctoral candidate and Senior Research Fellow in Psychology at the Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, India. She is also the Indian Principal Investigator (Project Director) in a four-year (2021-2025) international research cooperation project (involving Prague, India, Philippines, Pakistan, Malaysia, and Mexico) concerning adolescents.
Aishwarya holds a Bachelor’s (Honours) and Master’s degree in Psychology from BHU and has also completed a Diploma in Statistics and Computing from the Institute of Science, BHU. Aishwarya is an awardee of a prestigious endowment scholarship and two University Gold Medals for academic excellence by the Banaras Hindu University. She is also one of the forty international young scientists selected quadrennially, from across the globe, as ‘Emerging Psychologist’ by the International Union of Psychological Sciences (IUPsyS) and the International Congress of Psychology (ICP 2020), the world’s largest and most influential psychological event.
Her research has mainly centered around social cognition, cyberpsychology, health, and education, and her broader areas of interest include Positive Health and Organizational Behavior. She has presented her research at several national and international conferences, won numerous research paper awards, and has published in accredited national and international journals and books. Aishwarya has assisted in numerous national and international research projects and is currently involved in developing, adapting, and psychometric validation of research scales on academic procrastination, cyberchondriasis, subjective experiences in intergeneration interactions, and leader-member exchange, to name a few.
Besides, she is a freelance research and statistical analysis consultant and has rendered services to numerous doctoral students, post-doctoral researchers, and faculty members in Humanities, Life Sciences, Medicine, Management, etc., from varied public and private universities in India.
In-person, Aishwarya is much of a neophile and holds great charm for walking, traveling, exploring places and their indigenous cuisines, and socializing!
